Inspection Capabilities

CommTech Global offers an array of Field Services that include everything from Field Engineering to Document Control, and an extensive list of construction support (see services page). When we say Inspection Services, we mean all the capabilities that are within the Inspection umbrella.

Examples: Electrical, mechanical, coatings, instrumentation, welding, utility, and materials documentation. Our field inspectors are specialists in their craft – but not all inspectors are the same. Let’s breakdown our inspectors and the services they provide at CommTech Global (below)…

Chief Inspector


  • Direct point of contact for project management and contractors.
  • Oversee and report on the contractor’s compliance with policies, site plans and industry recognized practices.
  • Support the construction schedule.
  • Maintain job site files for correspondence, job conferences, and field/shop drawings.
  • Consult with engineering/ project management in advance of scheduled major tests, inspections, or start of important phases of work.
  • Provide reports as required of specific activities and project highlights.


Electrical Inspection


  • Oversee and report on the contractor’s compliance with electrical policies, codes, site plans and industry recognized practices.
  • Support the construction schedule.
  • Maintain job site files for correspondence, job conferences, and field/shop drawings.
  • Consult with engineering/ project management in advance of scheduled major tests, inspections, or start of important phases of work.
  • Provide daily reports summarizing each day’s activities and highlights.


Welding Inspection


  • Oversee welding performed in accordance with API 1104 by welders with current qualifications under API 1104.
  • Construct a Weld map of the project will be kept and given to COMPANY prior to project completion. Weld Map will show every weld by station number and identify each welder per weld pass by name or code.
  • Weld repairs shall be made in accordance with API 1104 Appendix A.
  • Support the construction schedule.
  • Direct and support the X-Ray crew.
  • Provide daily reports summarizing each day’s activities and highlights.


Utility Inspection


  • Inspect pipe and materials upon site arrival.
  • Oversee and report on the contractor’s compliance with policies, site plans and industry recognized dig practices.
  • Support the construction schedule.
  • Provide daily reports summarizing each day’s activities and highlights.


Coating Inspection


  • Oversee and report on the contractor’s compliance with coating related policies, site plans and industry recognized coating practices.
  • Support the construction schedule.
  • Oversee and provide coating specific reports.
  • Provide daily reports summarizing each day’s activities and highlights.
